Autograph letter signed, dated : [Leipzig] Jan. 24 1817 , to an unidentified recipient, 1817? Jan. 24.

Saying that now that [August?] Klengel has gone it will be difficult to give operas and oratorios with acclaim, proposing works by Rosetti, Rolle, Naumann, and Graun, adding that his [male] soprano, Trainer, entreats him to do Haydns's Sieben [letzte] Worte at Easter, that Trainer's successor, Einert, has a not unpleasant voice, that in fact Trainer "recitirt" not badly, sings the Cantabile not without feeling but can learn no "Passagen," further comparing the two singers, mentioning other named but unidentified singers, etc.
